Mushroom Foraging Day Trip
Join our Mushroom Foraging Event where we visit the state forest under the expert guidance of my mother. She has a life time experience of gathering, preserving and cooking mushrooms. RSVP to be added to our small group.

About the Event
As part of this event, we will: • show you what is safe to pick • demonstrate how to prepare, cook and store mushrooms, plus a recipe card to take home • provide lunch in the forest which will include mushrooms • gourmet mushrooms jar • and you take home what you find.
Meet at our place and you drive yourself to the forest, following our car. We will have room for two passengers in our car. For a group booking of six, leave your car at our house, and let us drive. Please note, we will be driving on unsealed roads at times that are not suited to low riding cars.
In the event of bad weather, or last-minute road closures, we will run a cooking class at Fifth Ave Katoomba Retreat on all things mushrooms! From mushroom-based sauces, button mushrooms filled with pesto, pickled mushrooms and more.
Approximate departure: 8.30 am
Approximate finish time: 3.30 pm

Day Trip as outlined above.
Option B: $150.00 per person
