Blue Mountains Accommodation & Italian Cooking Classes
Experience our day classes & self contained holiday accommodation
Blue Mountains NSW Australia
Travel restrictions have now been lifted within NSW so we are open for business! We've unblocked our calendar for accommodation bookings from July 2020. And we're taking bookings for our Italian cooking classes also by appointment.
Gift Vouchers are available to purchase for both, and we are also selling our beautiful handmade pasta in Gourmet Gift Packs.
Order by email or phone via our Contact Us page.
We look forward to hosting you again.
Now more than ever, we are feeling the need to be in tune with each other and with Nature. Set with a backdrop to the Blue Mountains National Reserve and Minni HaHa Falls down the street, Fifth Ave Katoomba Retreat sits on 1000 sqm block and is a relaxing space for 8 where you will experience that 'ahhh' moment instantly. Main tourist attractions are 5-10 minute drive with a peaceful aspect when you return from your Blue Mtns outing.
Presentation and cleanliness is everything to us (well before Covid-19). Our attention to detail could possibly be borderline obsessive – if you consider polishing all the taps til they gleam or lining up the coffee cups so the handles face the same way obsessive. I just call it thorough.
Suitable for small groups and the perfect family accommodation with holiday house essentials and little luxuries – encouraging you to unwind so you focus on time together. It's not too big for couples either.
Consider adding one of our Italian cooking class experiences to your stay. Run with the help of my mother, the quintessential Nonna, our classes give an insight into our southern Italian traditions which focus on food and family.
Please use our pantry items (long life milk, cereal, Italian coffee, tea, sugar, salt, oil, vinegar) but don't forget to bring your own fresh food including bread.
On the driveway, or up onto the nature strip in front of our house.
NB: parking on neighbouring properties is very much frowned upon.
Crockery, pots and pans, glassware, cutlery etc. Electric oven and cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, percolator, tea pots for tea lovers, portable electric BBQ (pls clean after use).
Log in details are at the house.
But do try to unplug for awhile and enjoy the beautiful surroundings & time together.
Just a flick of the button & you have all the romance of a log fire, without having to work out how to light one! Plus a bathroom heat lamp, bedroom heaters & carpet.
Bathroom & Laundry

Reinvigorate the senses and revive your soul by visiting the many open gardens in Spring and others that are open all year round. One of the benefits of choosing Blue Mountains accommodation for your next short break.

“I have to say the pasta was beautiful and silky and thoroughly delicious. I could almost taste the love that went into making that pasta ... wow. When this is over I will book a weekend retreat at Fifth Ave and maybe get a lesson."
